Selena Gomez's parents have managed her ever since since her Disney days, but it's being reported that she finally decided to give them the boot and find someone who really knows what they're doing to build her career even more.
According to TMZ, Selena fired her parents Mandy and Brian Teefey last month, so they no longer have any duties managing her career. Evidently it's because Selena "feels she's outgrown her parents" and she "believes she's now old enough — and famous enough — to have a seasoned professional manager with other A-list clients."
The website also claims that Selena has fought with her parents over her career before, but that wasn't why she decided to fire them as managers. Her family is still as close as they've always been, even though her mom and dad might not be thrilled with her decision to ditch them.
