Just so you know, you can thank the Jonas Brothers for Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift's everlasting friendship. In an interview with Kiss FM radio station in the UK, Selena opened up about how she and Taylor's super strong friendship began. As it turns out, it was all thanks to Nick and Joe Jonas.
"We actually dated the Jonas Brothers. It was hysterical," Selena said.
They did, didn't they? Who could ever forget when Taylor and Joe dated back in 2008, before he famously broke up with her in a 27-second phone call. And then, of course, there's the fact that Selena dated Nick – despite the fact that he was also juggling a relationship with Miley Cyrus at that time. Demi Lovato, who went on to date Joe after Taylor, spilled about Nick's former love triangle.
"Miley and then back with Selena and then back with Miley," Demi spilled. "It was Cyrus, Gomez, Cyrus, Gomez – and then I don't know what else happened."
Oh the teenage dating drama. Selena even recalled where she and Taylor were at in life when their friendship first sparked, and it's safe to say they have changed a lot since then.
"It was amazing because she was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots, and I was definitely up and coming – and we just clicked."
As for the Jo Bros though, that definitely fizzled out. They're cool though.
"It was the best thing we got out of those relationships for sure. They're lovely, by the way. We're all friends now. It's just we were young – a different time," she said.
So will Selena will join Taylor as a guest appearance on her upcoming tour? You better believe she's available.
"I mean, any time. Any place. She has been a fighter, a warrior and friend through all of this," Selena said. "We actually just talked about it a few days ago. It's been about 12 years of friendship."
Despite the fact that their relationships with the Jo Bros didn't last, something wonderful sure did come out of it. Cue Taylor singing, "Here's a toast to my real friends. They don't care about that he said, she said..."
