Congratulations are in order! Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood are engaged to be married, and the Instagram announcement is simply too adorable. The Glee actress took to the social media platform on February 10 to share the exciting news.
Along with an adorable pic of the newly-engaged couple (and the ring), Melissa wrote, “yes yes yes it will always be yes.” How sweet is that?!
The Vampire Diaries actor seemed just as excited that she accepted his proposal, posting the same photo, which he simply captioned, “The happiest.” We’re not crying… YOU ARE!
But wait, there’s more. After posting their adorable engagement announcement, Chris hit up Instagram once again to share another photo of the couple looking happy as ever. Along with the pic, he wrote, “Not from our wedding BUT IT WILL BE SOON.” OMG.
While there’s no confirmation yet on when exactly Melissa and Chris will officially be tying the knot, we’re just going to have to take his word for it. Their wedding will be “soon,” and we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for them to share photos from their special day.

The couple met on the set of Supergirl when he joined the cast as Mon-El, who’s a love interest of Melissa’s character, Kara Danvers. Obviously, the two really hit it off because their on-screen romance made a seamless transition to real life. So cute!
Prior to this engagement, the 30-year-old actress was married to her Glee costar, Blake Jenner. The former couple got married in 2013, but she filed for divorce in 2016, so it’s safe to say their romance just wasn’t meant to be. Their divorce finalized in 2017, which was also the year we learned of her romance with Chris.
In March 2017, the adorable couple was spotted vacationing in Cancun, Mexico, setting dating rumors on fire. Clearly, there was something to those rumors because these two will be walking down the aisle and exchanging vows sometime in the near future. Congrats, you two!
