It appears that Selena Gomez is officially closing the #Jelena chapter of her life. Yep, that’s right. For those of you that still ship the “Bad Liar” songstress with Justin Bieber, you might want to grab your tissues because Sel has officially removed the last trace of her ex-boyfriend from her Instagram account.
Fans noticed on Saturday, June 8 that Selena had deleted her 2018 birthday shoutout to the “Love Yourself” singer, which was the last remaining Instagram post on her feed that referenced the infamous relationship. Wow, talk about a big statement.
The post, which she originally shared on March 1, 2018, showed the 26-year-old balancing a polaroid picture of her ex on her nose.
“March 1, 1994 someone I knew that happens to be super cool was born. Boom,” she captioned it.

Shook. As fans know, the couple first started dating back in 2010 but called it quits two years later in November of 2012. After that, they were on-and-off for almost five years, before Justin, 25, eventually fell for Hailey Baldwin.
He and the model married in September 2018, and he’s made it clear that he’s madly in love with the 22-year-old. But that hasn’t stopped him from talking about Selena a few times over the last few months. Like the time the internet pretty much lost it when the singer liked an old throwback picture of him and his ex back in April. And let us not forget the time he was caught googling her performance at Coachella!
But in March 2019, he let fans know once and for all that he was really over everyone shipping him and the former Wizards of Waverly Place star.
“I absolutely love and loved Selena, she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over [heels] in love with my wife and she is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me, period,” he replied to a fan on Instagram. “This is a reply to all [the] immature, sick people who send Hailey hurtful messages like, ‘He always goes back to Selena,’ or, ‘Selena is better for him.’ You have no idea [about] my life and what’s good for me! Hailey is my bride, period. If you don’t like that or support that that means you don’t support me.”
RIP #Jelena.
