K-pop star Sulli has sadly been found dead at her home. According to CNN, the 25-year-old singer, whose real name is Choi Jin-ri, was discovered in her Seoul apartment by her manager on Monday, October 14, after he couldn’t get in contact with her.

“So far, it seems she killed herself, but we will leave all possibilities open and investigate,” a police official told the outlet, adding that they found a note at the scene but have yet to analyze its content.

They added that the young star, who was formerly part of the band f(x), was battling severe depression and had spoken out against cyber-bullying in the past. Back in 2014, she was forced to take a hiatus from the group “due to being mentally and physically exhausted from the continuous, malicious comments and false rumors that had been spread about her.”

And last year, the actress opened up about her mental health issues, revealing that she suffered from a panic disorder and social phobia.

“Even close people left me,” she said in a now-deleted Instagram video. “I was hurt by them and felt there was nobody who understands me, which made me fall apart.”

Sulli first rose to fame when she was only 11 years old, after she starred in a popular Korean TV show called Ballad of Seodong. In 2009, she joined f(x), which was also made up of Victoria Song, Amber Lui, Luna, and Krystal Jung. The ladies released three epic albums together before Sulli left the group to focus on her solo career in 2015. In June 2019, she released her debut solo single, called “Goblin.”

Amber took to her Instagram Stories when news of Sulli’s tragic death hit the web, writing, “Due to recent events I’ll be putting on hold my upcoming activities. Sorry everyone. Thank you for your thoughts.”
