Woah, Austin Butler is that you?! The super-cute actor, who has been the longtime boyfriend of Vanessa Hudgens for years now, just got a major makeover. Yep, that’s right. The star waved goodbye to his staple blond tresses and traded the look for a darker ‘do. All for a role, of course. Vanessa took to Instagram to debut her boyfriend’s new look, and we gotta say, their hair colors are quite similar now! Who would’ve ever imagined seeing Austin with dark hair? It’s definitely unexpected – but it seriously suits him quite well. We can’t take our eyes off the adorable selfie!

Who knows, maybe Austin will get used to this dark hair life even after this current project he’s working on. In fact, he’s not the only famously blond cutie that made this major hair makeover. Ross Lynch from Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally ditched his platinum blond flow and traded it for a darker hairstyle just like Austin’s. And yes, his is for a role too! Ross will be starring in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, playing the role of Harvey Kinkle.
We seriously can’t get over Austin’s look – and it is definitely safe to say Vanessa is shook to the core (in a good way, of course) about her BF’s hot new look as well! Heart eyes all around.
