Given the success of her debut solo album, it’s safe to say that Camila Cabello is quickly taking over the charts. She’s become one of the biggest breakout stars, even though she did burst onto the scene with the rest of Fifth Harmony — but as the “Havana” singer has said said before, she won’t ever say anything too negative about her split with the group.

Instead, Camila is focused on making her mark as a solo artist and in a new interview with NME, the explained how sometimes the whole music business thing makes her feel like none other than Hannah Montana herself. She said, “it feels amazing. But it also feels like it’s not me, if that makes sense? I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s my twin’. It’s almost like Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus. But… I don’t know. I feel like so much stuff is happening to me all the time, and that’s kind of a good thing because I don’t really have time to process it and let stuff sink in. But really it just feels amazing that people are actually listening to my songs. I think back to when I was 15 and didn’t even think this [career] was a real thing that could happen.”

Camila also went on the explain that because she grew up looking up to OG Disney Channel stars like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez as role models, she wants to be a great one for those looking up to her — including her little sister. She continued to say, “Growing up, I looked up to all the Disney girls like Selena, Demi, Miley, Taylor. Well, Taylor wasn’t a Disney girl, but you know what I mean. I feel like the people you look up to as a kid definitely influence you in some way. And because of that I wanna be a good influence on younger kids.”

If you ask us, that’s one thing the “Crying in the Club” songstress definitely is. She’s a great role model to those who look up to her, and an amazing singer.
