It’s common knowledge that for many stars, their first kiss whether it be on-screen or in their personal lives – was anything but picture perfect.

The latest celebrity to dish on what exactly happened when they had a smooch for the first time on camera, is actress Dakota Fanning.

She’s been in the industry for as long as anyone can remember, and in a new interview with W Magazine, Dakota revealed that her first ever kiss actually happened on the set of the film, Sweet Home Alabama where she played a young version of Reese Witherspoon's character.

“I was 7 years old and he was 10. It was very nerve-wracking,” Dakota began to say about the on camera smooch.

“My studio teacher who was my teacher my whole life before I went to high school, she was with me on that movie and she tells this story all the time. In between each take we would do the kiss, right, and then I would slowly turn away and wipe my mouth off so he couldn’t see or no one could see because I was trying to be kind. I wasn’t really into it,” she continued to say.

Oh no! That actually sounds like more of an embarrassing story rather than a first kiss story, but it’s great to see that Dakota can actually look back at that moment and laugh about it.

The actress also revealed that she actually doesn’t consider that moment her first actual kiss, and that her first smooch happened in her driveway when she was 14 years old after a party.

“I just remember coming inside after and thinking that everybody could see it. Like everyone could see it all over me,” she continued to say.

Just goes to show, that even celebrities aren’t immune to having not so wonderful experiences when it comes to a first kiss – whether it be on or off screen.
