It is absolutely no secret that Dove Cameron and Garrett Clayton are super close friends. Even though the video that surfaced of them making out on set of Hairspray Live! totally turned out to be rehearsals for a scene, the friendship between these two runs deep. After all, Dove is now totally head over heels in love with her Descendants 2 co-star Thomas Doherty. However, it’s not Thomas who she decided to walk the red carpet with last night – it was Garrett!
Garrett and Dove strutted the red carpet at the Gracie Awards 2017 event, where they accepted an award on behalf of Hairspray Live! for the Musical and Ensemble Cast category. Talk about well deserved!
Dove hasn’t walked the red carpet with a guy since 2016 when she was still making appearances and attending events with her former fiancé (and The Girl and the Dreamcatcher bandmate) Ryan McCartan – so this is a pretty big step for the Disney Channel darling.
Hmm, we can’t help but wonder if Thomas is a teeny bit jealous over the fact that Dove was being photographed with her bestie Garrett over him – however, we’re pretty certain Thomas and Dove will have their precious red carpet debut as a couple at the Descendants 2 premiere. Only time will tell, we suppose.
