Oh em gee, you guys. The unthinkable is happening. Dylan Sprouse is following in his twin brother Cole Sprouse's footsteps by returning back to the entertainment industry, and we are legit getting hit with The Suite Life of Zack & Cody nostalgia right now. We are one hundred percent obsessed with Cole's latest acting gig Riverdale – as is everyone else in the world – so this is just icing on the cake.
Although the Disney Channel alum took some time away from acting while attending college at New York University, he's slowly adjusting back into acting life. Back in 2015, the actor filmed a movie called Dismissed, and now the first trailer for the project has arrived. It's his first film since saying buh-bye to the S.S. Tipton back in 2011.
We honestly can't wait for the full movie. Tbh, we didn't realize how much we missed that voice, that hair, those eyes on screen until now! But his character is way different than Jughead, that's for sure…
Thankfully, Dylan also has another film in the pipeline. And, when he took to Instagram to share a photo from his latest project, fans went legit wild with excitement that the cutie will be once again gracing us all with his beautiful face on screen.
"I use mane and tail," the long-haired hottie captioned the artsy shot, tagging director Eva Doležalová.
Turns out, Dylan is working on an indie project, titled Carte Blanche. As for details about the film, it doesn't even have an updated IMDB page just yet. So we'll have to wait and see what it's all about. All we know is Jack Kilmer and model Jordan Barrett will also be starring in the movie alongside Dylan.
Previously, Dylan opened up about only returning to acting when the right role came along, and it looks like that finally happened.
“I’m interested in roles that are human, that have some sort of empathic quality,” he said. “A role I would not do: cool jock… That’s not something I’d be interested in doing. Scripts that make characters a two-sentence description, I’m not interested in," he said in an interview.
In the meantime, Dylan has been working on opening up his very own Brooklyn-based business, All-Wise Meadery. So he has been quite busy, thank you very much.
Director Eva Doležalová also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Dylan from set. "#CarteBlanche Day 2," she captioned it, proving just how early in the whole process the film is.
We can't wait for more information about the film to start unfolding, as Dylan's return to acting is truly a blessing to us all.
