This may be hard to believe, but it’s been exactly 12 years since the cast of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody took their final bow. Yep, the show’s final episode aired on September 1, 2008, and it’s seriously shocking how fast time has gone by! For those who forgot, after the stars officially took over the Tipton hotel, they went out to see for the show’s spinoff series The Suite Life on Deck, which premiered a few weeks later. Since then, both shows have become some of the most iconic series in the network’s history and fans were devastated when they both came to an end.

As fans know, the original, hilarious series starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song, Phill Lewis, Kim Rhodes, and it was all about identical teenage twins Zack and Cody who have to live in a hotel after their mom lands a job there. The twins turn the hotel into their playground, constantly playing tricks on Maddie Fitzpatrick, the teenage candy-counter girl, and London Tipton, the daughter of the hotel’s owner. When its spinoff premiered, new cast members — like Debby Ryan — were introduced and the twins continued their high jinks. Except this time, they were on a ship instead of in a hotel.

You know what they said, all good things must come to an end, but is there any hope for a possible reboot in the future? According to the Sprouse twins, definitely not.

“I think the show remains special in a lot of people’s hearts and that’s how we’re going to leave it,” Dylan told iHollywood TV in October 2020. In a separate appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in May 2020, Cole also shut down reboot rumors. “I don’t think that it should be done,” he said at the time. “I think it’s really incendiary, there’s a huge potential to, kind of, demolish that perfect little golden memory of a program is you go back and revive it.”
