There’s been one question on fans’ minds recently, and that is — is Emma Watson single? For those who missed it, the actress was spotted kissing a mystery man last month, and the internet quickly went wild over the rumored new couple. Well guys, the Harry Potter star just cleared the air once and for all on her relationship status, so prepare to be shook.
“I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel. I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single],” the actress told British Vogue. “I call it being self-partnered.”
So although the 29-year-old is definitely happy on her own, she admitted that as she approaches her 30th birthday, she feels a little pressure to find a man.
“[When I was younger], I was like, ‘Why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal.’ Cut to 29, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I feel so stressed and anxious,'” she continued. “I realize it’s because there is suddenly this bloody influx of subliminal messaging around. If you have not built a home, if you do not have a husband, if you do not have a baby, and you are turning 30, and you’re not in some incredibly secure, stable place in your career, or you’re still figuring things out… There’s just this incredible amount of anxiety.”
As fans know, photos of the brunette beauty smooching a mystery guy hit the web on October 22, and fans quickly started speculating that they were dating. There’s also been rumors that Emma was in a secret relationship with her HP costar Tom Felton, especially since they traveled to South Africa together back in August. Before that, she has been linked to Tom Ducker, Jay Barrymore, Will Adamowicz, Matthew Janney, William ‘Mack’ Knight and Glee star Chord Overstreet.
