In the early hours of the morning, James Corden has revealed that his wife Julia Carey has given birth to their third child, a baby girl. Although the baby was due in December, the birth seems to have caught James off guard slightly as he had to find a last minute replacement for his evening TV show, The Late Late Show With James Corden. Luckily pop star Harry Styles was on hand to take over the reins!

Taking to Twitter James said, "Today we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling."

He went on thank Harry for stepping in at the last minute to host his show, as he was given just 2.5 hours notice. On set Harry told the audience, "Just half an hour ago James and his wife Jules had a beautiful baby girl. Congratulations. In fact I was just at the hospital before I came to fill in and she looks a lot like James. Mainly because James looks like a giant baby."

Back in September James Corden revealed the gender of their baby telling press, "She’ll be arriving Christmas — we're very excited. It will be great, lovely. We're having a little girl, it’s going to be terrific."

The little girl, who has yet to be named, is a younger sister to six-year-old Max and three-year-old Carey. James has enjoyed massive success in both the UK and USA since he first shot to fame on hit comedy Gavin and Stacey. James played the role of Smithy in the show, which first aired back in 2007, and became an instant hit with viewers.

The 39-year-old later landed the presenting gig for popular American show The Late Late Show in 2015. After impressing the American audience, it was James' famous Carpool Karaoke segment that really got him noticed.

James' most recent Carpool Karaoke video revealed a Christmas montage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including P!nk, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and the Harry Styles. The video, which was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, ended with Harry and James having a Christmas kiss. Congratulations to James and Julia.
