Some fans have taken to social media and called out Jeffree Star following the release of his brand new “Orgy” collection. Previously, the YouTuber received backlash for the name of it, but now, fans are claiming that when they received their eyeshadow palettes in the mail, the shades were “crumbly,” contained “pellets” and were “unusable.”

In a series of since-expired Instagram Stories videos, he responded.

“I do need to go and be a boss right now, and go scream at my makeup lab. We have a production issue with the mini Orgy palette,” he said. “When you upscale a project and make 100,000, 200,000, 300,000 units, there sometimes can be issues. And sadly the lab can f**k up. We did have a small batch issue with one of them.”

For those who missed it, some customers claimed the palette was “damaged [and] ‘not pigmented,'” one Twitter user posted alongside screenshots of customer feedback on social media.

Help! The shades Glass Wet and Foam Party in my mini Orgy palette have little pellets in them and crumble everywhere, they are unusable,” another person wrote on Twitter. Then in a separate post, they shared a screenshot of a reply from Beautylish customer service regarding the product.

“Update: Beautylish has responded to me telling me that they are toppers. Even if they are supposed to be sheer, it doesn’t explain why they are so crumbly… The pellets can’t be applied on the eyes, they just fall off,” they added.

Another upset fan claimed that Jeffree’s brand had “bad customer service.”

“Please explain how I bought two of the Mini Orgy and this is what the shadows are doing. The first two are my sisters palette and the bottom is mine fresh out of the box. But I have to wait [three] weeks to get replacements,” they wrote.

Concluding his Instagram Stories post, Jeffree added, “If anyone ever has an issue with my products I have an amazing customer service team that will handle anyone’s issues.”
