Sorry, you guys, but Jenna Marbles and her boyfriend Julien Solomita are saying goodbye to their podcast. Yep, after six years on the air, the “Jenna & Julien Podcast” officially came to an end on Monday, August 17, with a six-minute episode titled “The Final Podcast.”
“If I think about it too much and if I say it too much, I’m probably gonna cry. And I can’t really look at Julien because I’m probably gonna cry. But I wanted to say thank you so much for all of your support over however many years we’ve been doing this,” the YouTuber — whose real name is is Jenna Mourey — told listeners. “This is, like, one of the sources of so much happiness and laughter and joy — and such a good time — and I’m so glad that so many of you had such a good time with us.”
Julien added, “You know, this podcast has spanned over a long time in my life — and lot of different, kind of, phases of my life — and it’s hard to say goodbye. The longer we sit here, the more messy it’s gonna get. But, just the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to anyone who has ever listened to our podcast.”
As fans know, Jenna’s return to the podcast came after she was missing from the last five episodes. Previously, during a recent livestream, Julien told fans that Jenna had no plans to return to the internet after she announced she was quitting YouTube after receiving backlash from past, resurfaced seemingly racist videos.
Before concluding the podcast once and for all, Jenna updated fans on her mental health after quitting YouTube.
“I have a million things that I would love to say, but I just want you to know that I’m doing okay, I’m getting help, and I’m just being a person right now,” the internet star said. “So I genuinely appreciate all the support and love.”
