If you ever happen to run into Josh Peck, there's one thing you should avoid asking him: pretty much anything to do with his former Drake & Josh co-star/on-screen brother, Drake Bell. The actor recently sat down for a chat with the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast where he explained the pair doesn't actually hang out all that much and he's often unaware of what Drake it up to. So it's better just not to ask him, even though he gets asked about Drake all the time.
"When people see Drake and I together, and it rarely happens since he's working and I'm working, they're like 'What? What are you doing here?'" Josh said. "I have no good answer for — and I get it all time — which is like 'where's Drake?' And I'm like, I wish I had a better answer but probably at home. At Whole Foods? I don't know."
So obviously Josh was just kidding around, but he really doesn't know where Drake is at every hour of the day. This is an interesting confession though, since Josh just married his longtime love Paige O'Brien a few days ago and no, Drake wasn't invited. This is something that didn't sit well with the singer, since Drake literally took to Twitter to vent out his feelings in a series of now-deleted tweets.
"When you're not invited to the wedding the message is clear…" Drake wrote. "True colors have come out today. Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I'll miss you brotha."
This is just tragic all around. Drake did guest-star on Josh's short-lived comedy series, Grandfathered back in February of 2016, so not all that long ago. It seems like they don't have any intention of being brothers anymore.
BRB, crying forever. And now their little sister Megan herself, Miranda Cosgrove, has chimed in on all this drama. Well, sort of. Entertainment Tonight asked her to weigh in on the Drake and Josh wedding drama and she made an effort to actually not choose sides when it came to her TV brothers' dispute. At least at first.
"Umm, no I didn't go," Miranda said when she was asked if she attended Josh's nuptials. And what about Drake's savage tweets?
"I don't know, I'm just happy for Josh. I hope he has a good marriage, it's exciting. It's just crazy to me that so much time has passed, like so many of my friends and people who were on Nickelodeon with me are married now. It's crazy," Miranda said.
OK, so she's kind of avoiding the whole situation, which is totally understandable since she's technically not involved in this fight. But she did say that she's planning to see one of her former co-stars super soon.
"I only ever see them once in a while. I'm going to Drake's birthday in a few days," she added.
So Drake made sure Miranda had an invite to his celebration and she's letting everyone know about it. Good to know. Battle lines kinda sorta drawn. (Not really but hey, we're playing up the dramatics here.)
