We all became obsessed with Joshua Rush after he appeared in Andi Mack as Cyrus Goodman. But ever since the Disney star landed an internship with two congressmen, fans have been wondering — is the 17-year-old going to give up acting to focus on his career in politics? Well, Josh just spilled all the tea on his decision to Teen Vogue.

“Ah, the burning question that my parents are asking too. I don’t have an answer to it, honestly,” he said, when asked which job he preferred. “I love them both, and I love the career that I’ve built for myself in L.A., and I also love what I’m building for myself right now in D.C. I don’t know where the future takes me, but I do want to study in college and learn everything that I can. No matter where I go, I want to be active in politics.”

As fans know, the actor came out as bisexual in August 2019, and he also opened up about the experience to the outlet.

“I had kind of known in the back of my head for a really long time, and eventually just kind of decided it was dumb and irrelevant for me not to mention it to my parents. So I put my parents on a conference call, ’cause I was in D.C. I called my dad, patched my mom in and said, ‘Hello, I wanted you to know that I like men, women, and other genders, but I know everyone’s busy so I’m going to go now,’ and I hung up. That was the extent of it. I got texts from them both a bit later, like ‘Mmk, cool,’ which is exactly what I wanted. I never wanted to make a big deal out of it, which is why I made my actual coming out into a tweet and never really told my publicist or my manager that I was planning to do that, much to their chagrin,” Joshua shared. “Somewhere in the naive part of my brain, I thought it wasn’t going to be a big deal that I was coming out, and then it was. And I was very surprised by that.”

We are seriously so proud of him.
