Valentine’s Day was extra special for Katy Perry, and that’s because she got engaged to her boyfriend Orlando Bloom! OMG. The couple confirmed the news via Instagram and we’ve got all the deets on his adorable proposal.
“Full bloom,” Katy wrote alongside a sweet selfie of her and her future husband.
The 42-year-old Pirates Of The Caribbean actor reposted the same pic, captioning it, “Lifetimes.”
Um, wow, can we talk about that ring? The unique piece of jewelry is a shaped like a flower and has a pink diamond in the center. Wow, talk about goals.
The “Roar” singer’s mom also confirmed the news on her Facebook, writing, “Look who got engaged on Valentine’s Day!” alongside some cute snaps of the couple.
As for the proposal, it looks like Orlando went all out. In the photos, you can see that he filled the entire room with red balloons, and get this — he even had an archway shaped like a heart that was made out of red roses. How romantic is that? Ugh, our hearts!
The couple was first spotted together back in January of 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty, but it wasn’t until May of the same year that they made the relationship Instagram official. In March of 2017, however, the pair unfortunately called it quits.
“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” their reps said in a joint statement.
Five months later, though, the 34-year-old singer was spotted with the actor again. And since then, the two have been happily in love. You know what they say — sometimes it takes a little time apart to realize how much you truly love someone. We’re honestly so happy that they found their way back to each other.
