Some Little Mix fans are seriously convinced that band member Leigh-Anne Pinnock called out Camila Cabello for receiving little to no backlash after controversial posts from her now-deactivated Tumblr resurfaced in December 2019.
“Even recently, something came up about someone and stuff that she said and she didn’t get [any] backlash from it,” the songstress said during a recent Instagram Live that was recorded and reposted by fans. “She still got to perform at the Grammys. I don’t even want to say who it is, because I just don’t want to do that.”
For those who missed it, at the time, Camila apologized and said she was “deeply ashamed” of her comments, and added that she was “uneducated and ignorant” about how her “hurtful language” might have affected others. On her since-deleted Tumblr page, the singer allegedly repeatedly used the N-word and reblogged controversial memes.
Leigh-Anne added during the livestream, “It’s actually disgusting, it’s so bad.”
Although she never named the singer, followers have speculated that she was referring to Camila.
“Something about Leigh-Anne from Little Mix shading Camila Cabello for her racist past does it for me,” one person wrote alongside the clip from the livestream. Another added, “Leigh mentioned NO names and y’all assuming Camila… If the shoe fits.”

As fans now, this isn’t the first time Leigh-Anne has spoken out about racial injustices recently. On June 5, the former X Factor contestant posted a powerful video on Instagram where she talked about her experiences with racism and said she felt like the “least favored” member of Little Mix because of her race.
