Actress Lili Reinhart has given her fans an important health update about her dog Milo after she revealed that he had been attacked by another dog while out on a walk.

“He’s OK. He’s home with me. He had surgery,” she shared on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, April 11. “He had a big wound on his head so part of his head is shaved and he has a little puncture wound right here as well that’s stitched up. He’s OK, he’s a little timid. He’s on pain meds to help because you can tell he’s quite uncomfortable with the stitches.”

“It was the most terrifying thing that I’ve ever experienced. I keep having flashbacks of that entire situation and how traumatizing it was for him and me. I hope that he heals really well and he’s not terrified of other dogs from now on, we’re going to have to work on that,” she continued. “He’s doing surprisingly well and being a little extra cuddly right now which is very sweet, but I’m watching his every move and taking good care of him.”

“My baby, my little shadow. I’m so thankful that he’s OK and I can watch over him as he heals, day by day,” the blonde beauty wrote in another post. “I thought I was going to lose him. His little head was in the jaws of a dog 10 [times] his size. I was screaming his name at the top of my lungs and sobbing — I felt so helpless.”

On Friday, April 10 the Riverdale star shared the tragic news that the pup had to be rushed to the vet to have emergency surgery.

“I was taking him out today to get some exercise … he was attacked by another dog. It was pretty bad, I had to rush him to the animal hospital. He’s there now, getting surgery. He’s got a pretty deep wound on his neck. It was a very horrifying experience,” the 23-year-old said while breaking down in tears. “Keep him in your thoughts please.”

We’re so glad he’s OK!
