The 32-year-old former Disney star shared the amazing news on Instagram on December 2, 2019.
“Dear Allegra, Some things never change,” he wrote. “What a Thanksgiving. I love your laugh. I love your heart. I love your family. I love you. Looking forward to wifing you.”
Clayton also shared a sweet video of his fiancée’s reaction right after he popped the question!
“A few more moments…” he captioned it. “A moment shortly after the ask. A moment when she saw my parents were there too. A moment that evening. A moment the day after in Bodega Bay. A moment shortly after that.”
For those who forgot, the actor played Ethan Craft (Lizzie’s crush) in the Disney Channel series. As for Allegra, she’s starred in a bunch of movies and TV shows over the years, including My Friend Violet, Modern Family, New Girl, Orange Is The New Black, The Social Ones and more!
The blonde beauty took to Instagram to gush over the news herself, writing, “I get to grow older with the love of my life, for the rest of my days. I adore you Clay. Thankful is an understatement.”
“He’s my home,” she added in another post.
As fans know, Disney announced back in August that they were rebooting Lizzie McGuire, and it was definitely the best news ever. Hilary Duff, Adam Lamberg, Jake Thomas, Hallie Todd and Robert Carradine are all also set to reprise their roles as Lizzie, Gordo, Matt, Jo and Sam, but it’s unclear if Clayton will appear in the new show.
Congratulations Clayton and Allegra!
