They say you don't really know a person until you live with them, so we decided to put that theory to the test. Our very own J-14 reporter Liam McEwan and his roommate/bestie writer Indy Yelich – who also just so happens to be Lorde's sister, might we add – played a fun little game to find out just how well they know each other before Indy says goodbye to sunny Los Angeles and heads off to the hustle and bustle of New York City. Watch the video above to see Liam's exclusive interview with Indy Yelich.

Indy's brand new poetry book, titled Sticky Notes, is out now – and she gave us the scoop on everything that went into it and how she got started writing in the first place. Not only is the book a true passion piece, but poetry is something she totally found on her own.

Indy explained, "My mom instilled writing and words in me from a young age, and my sister's just such a cohesive and genius songwriter. I think I kind of always knew I always wanted to do something with words, but I definitely actually found writing on my own. I found poetry – I found words. I found my passion on my own, which is strange."

As for her advice to other young people hoping to follow their passion of writing, it's all about being inspired by others for her. Indy seems to have one main takeaway from her experience writing Sticky Notes, and that is – "The more I read, the more I write."

If this poetry book is any indication on what else is to come from Indy, we should all prepare to be seriously inspired.
