It’s safe to say that Riverdale fans everywhere have been completely heartbroken over the news that Luke Perry, who plays the role of Fred Andrews in the series, suffered a stroke at just 52 years old.
On the morning of February 27, 2019, paramedics were called to the actor’s Sherman Oaks, California home, and they took him by ambulance to a nearby hospital. At the time, he was responsive, but sadly his condition worsened. There were even rumors that he was placed in a medically-induced coma, but his rep denied such claims.
While his condition still remains unclear, his rep told Us Weekly, “Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital.”
