Don’t be too jealous, fam, but Normani just revealed that she once had an epic sleepover with Ariana Grande and her former Fifth Harmony bandmates Camila Cabello and Dinah Jane.
That’s right, you guys! The 22-year-old is Billboard‘s cover star this week, and after explaining that she met Ari at a Jingle Ball concert years ago, the “Love Lies” singer shared that she, Camila and Dinah all went to the 25-year-old pop star’s house for a slumber party. What could be more fun than that?!
Although she didn’t divulge too many details about their night, she did say that the “Thank U, Next” singer introduced her to something she’s never tried before — vegan ice cream!
“We went to her house she was the first person to introduce me to vegan ice cream,” she said. Yum!
Not intrigued by the sound of a vegan ice cream-filled evening at Ariana Grande’s house? Don’t worry! In March, Normani will be joining the “God is a Woman” singer on her Sweetener World Tour, so we bet there will be loads of fun behind-the-scenes tour stories in just a few months. Plus, now that the “Waves” crooner is a solo act, she can’t wait to show fans what she can do all by herself.
She told Billboard, “I’m actually capable and strong enough to do this on my own. Not as Normani in the entity of Fifth Harmony, but as someone who is a totally separate and different person: Normani.”
On a similar note, she also revealed that she feels way more confident in her talent than she ever was before, and she even joked that she’s a stan of herself, so it’ll be interesting to see how that translates to the Sweetener stage once the tour kicks off.
“I’ve come to believe that I am that talented,” Normani said. “Before, I didn’t wholeheartedly believe that.”
Later on in the interview, she added, “I surprise myself in moments. … I’m like, ‘Is that me?’ Like, I’m a stan. I’m a stan!” Same, girl. Same.
