From the upbeat sound to amazing lyrics, this song is everything we never knew we needed, and we’re here to break it all down for you!
By now, fans know that along with the track’s release came the “Ice Cream” music video that took viewers on a ride through a bright color and retro-themed world with, you guessed it, A LOT of ice cream. From the outfits to the bubblegum pink scenery and even the dance moves, this visual is truly next level.
After the music video hit YouTube, fans took to Twitter and shared some pretty amazing reactions.

As for the lyrics, the entire song compares the five lovely ladies to ice cream — sweet on the outside but also sassy — as explained with the lyrics, “I know that my heart can be so cold / But I’m sweet for you, come put me in a cone.”
During a recent interview, BLACKPINK dished on the track, which was cowritten by Ariana Grande.
“When we first heard the melody, it felt like our mouths were filled with sweetness. We think that the people who are suffering from the summer heat can chill while listening to the song. We hope that the good energy and excitement we felt will be delivered to everyone who listens,” the group told NAVER. They added, “The song is like an ice cream that melts the midsummer heat.”
