Former Disney Channel actress Skai Jackson will not let anyone stop her from sharing tributes for her late costar Cameron Boyce. The 17-year-old took to Twitter and slammed a fan who commented on how often she posts about the Descendants star.
It all started on Sunday, March 1, when Skai posted an adorable throwback photo of herself and the late actor.
“Miss you,” she captioned the pic with a red heart emoji.

An internet troll was quick to respond to the photo and wrote, “Just let him Rest in Peace you post him like every day chill.”
Skai replied to the social media user and totally clapped back, writing, “I’ve known Cameron for half of my life. He was a brother to me/all of us… I can do as I please.”
Another Twitter user posted a screenshot of the comments and praised Skai for calling out the hater.
“PLEASE. Skai Jackson will NOT be played with,” the fan said. The Bunk’d star saw this and wrote back, “When it’s about Cameron, all bets are off.”
As fans know, Cameron was only 20 years old when he died on July 6, 2019, after having a seizure in his sleep. He suffered from a medical condition called epilepsy. Both Cameron and Skai starred in the Disney Channel original series Jessie together from 2011 until it ended in 2015. Previously, Skai opened up about coping with his sudden death.
“I just go day by day,” she told Us Weekly at the HollyRod Foundation’s DesignCare Gala on July 27, 2019. “He was like a brother to all of us, all of my castmates. We got to spend five amazing years with him.”
The 17-year-old added that it’s “really important to continue his legacy.” Cameron was really passionate about giving back and was involved in numerous charities before his death, so after his sad passing, his family started a foundation in his honor.
“I’m just doing everything that he wanted to do and make sure that his legacy always lives on forever,” Skai continued.
