Our favorite Disney Channel actress Sofia Carson just teamed up with Swedish duo Galantis to release a brand new song, and J-14 chatted with Sofia all about it! Prepare to have the new track, “San Fransisco,” stuck in your head all day long, because we cannot stop listening to it. The catchy beat is so contagious that it’s got us all out of our chairs and dancing! Put your headphones on, press play, and prepare to get the party started.

And Sofia totally agrees! The actress, who you probably recognize from the Descendants movies and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionist, dished to J-14 exclusively about what the new song means to her. “To me, ‘San Francisco’ is a beautiful marriage of dance and pop music (with a Galantis twist of course),” the 25-year-old star gushed. “When I first heard [it], it captured me instantly — and I hope fans will feel the same way! The song didn’t sound like anything I had heard before, yet there was something so familiar about it — in the best way. The melody feels like a dream, and it hooks you and transports you.” We totally agree Sofia, since we’ve had the song on repeat all morning!

In the song, she sings about a magical first date in San Fransisco, where she and her mystery beau climb the Golden Gate Bridge to “watch the stars collide.” It sounds pretty romantic. “It was the best night of my life,” the Descendants star sings.

As J-14 readers know, the actress dove into singing after releasing a few tracks for Descendants and Descendants 2, and she just revealed to J-14 exclusively that she’ll be sharing even more music in 2019.

“Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible musicians and writers while I’ve been shooting PLL: The Perfectionists — from Alan Walker, to R3hab, to now Galantis,” she explained. “Next year, I can’t wait to share even more of my music with the world… I truly cannot wait.” We can’t either!

As for Galantis, the pop duo is made up of Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw, and they’re no joke. They’re a total triple threat, since they’re out there producing, DJ’ing and writing their songs. They’ve already got two epic albums, and they even earned GRAMMY nominations for “Best Dance Recording” and “Best Remixed Recording.” So between them and Sofia, they definitely make an unstoppable team. You can listen to the song here.
