Ever since Keke Palmer teased a True Jackson, VP reboot in April, fans have been patiently waiting on the edge of their seats for some more information. Well guys, you might want to brace yourselves because the actress just finally spilled some tea on the new series!

While speaking to Cosmopolitan, the 26-year-old seemingly confirmed that it was still happening, and got real about why Nickelodeon decided to bring back the iconic show. It turns out, it’s because of the fans!

“Look, if my fans ask me for something as far as entertainment, I’m going make the calls that I need to make to try to give it to them,” she explained. “A True Jackson, VP reboot was as much for them as it was for me.”

For those who missed it, the former Nickelodeon star sent the internet into a frenzy when she shared a video of herself dancing to the theme song of the throwback show on April 21, 2020.

“Congrats! Another reboot! Y’all made this happen,” she captioned it.

As she showed off her epic moves in the clip, the words “When they canceled True Jackson, VP prematurely just to reboot it in 2021,” flashed across the screen.

The fan-favorite series, which also starred Robbie Amell, Ashley ArgotaDanielle BisuttiMatt Shively and more, premiered on November 8, 2008. It went on for three seasons before it concluded on August 20, 2011, and when it went off the air, it was definitely the end of an era! It followed the story of True Jackson, an aspiring stylist who got hired by a huge fashion mogul named Max Madigan.

But a few days later, Robbie spoke out about the reprise, and he admitted that he didn’t even know about it!

“I was learning about it as people online were learning about it,” Robbie revealed to Entertainment Tonight. “And then me and Keke and Ashley and Matt were all kind of texting back and forth, like, ‘This would be really fun. This would be awesome.’ So I don’t know if there’s any real truth to it right now… But I would definitely jump back in. I love that show and, you know, it was one of my first real jobs in L.A.”

The actor, who played Jimmy Madigan — True’s love interest in the show — even dished on where he thought his character would be now!

“I started thinking about it a little bit,” he continued. “Jimmy was always a little bit of a mess. I feel like things aren’t probably going to be stellar for him but, with that being said, maybe it’s the opposite. You know, maybe things are just really great for Jimmy now. I feel like he’s the type of guy who would, like, accidentally win the lottery or something.”

“I feel like you either go one of two ways, either [Jimmy and True are] still together or they find each other again in the show, which I think either one would kind of be interesting and cool,” the 32-year-old actor added. “But I think there has to be that romance there still because it wasn’t over on the show.”

We really hope this is happening!
