Happy Post-Thanksgiving! I hope you all had an awesome holiday, with many thanks and tons of delicious food.
This year, my sister and I went to Manhattan for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I haven't been in years, so it was a lot of fun -- minus that whole waking up at 5 a.m. part. But after we packed on layer after layer of all the warm clothes we could find, we grabbed some hot chocolate and drove into New York City.
The parade was lots of fun. We were at the very beginning of the parade route, up near Columbus Avenue and 74th street, so we got to see everything start right at 9 a.m.! My fave balloons and floats were definitely Hello Kitty, the Smurfs, Snoopy, and Buzz Lightyear, but I also thought the Raggedy Ann and Andy people and the cake and candy crew were pretty sweet too.
We even got to see Big Time Rush, Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, Jimmy Fallon, and Jessica Simpson. They kept waving to the crowd, which is crazy to think about because they had to do that for blocks and blocks and blocks. We yelled out to BTR's Carlos Pena and Logan Henderson since they were on our side of the parade line, but I don't think they heard us -- it was pretty loud there!
It was a really fun (and super cold!) Thanksgiving here in the NYC area.
How did you celebrate Thanksgiving this year?
