The Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes friendship has truly been a gift to us all. They not only give us plenty of ridiculously cute BFF moments to obsess over, but we got the bop that is “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The song came out in 2015, a solid three years ago, and now, the besties are out here getting our hopes way up that a follow-up duet might just be coming.

Camila and Shawn are both busy, as they’re performing all over the country as part of the Jingle Ball tour and they happened to have a little hangout session backstage during the tour’s stop in Boston. Both singers took to Instagram to share the same black and white pic of the pair sitting on the floor, clearing singing together. And yes, it’s just the cutest.

The 21-year-old “Havana” songstress is clearly singing as she’s playing the guitar and we know she’s been busy working on her second album lately. So was she playing a new song for her bud? Or perhaps, even better, she and Shawn are making another new record together? He too is working on new music and they both went ahead and dropped some comments on Shawn’s post of this pic that has everyone freaking out. “IKWYDLS part 2????” Camila wrote, referencing the fact that they could’ve been working on a sequel track to their OG song together. And Shawn being Shawn responded back the same message, in all caps with some exclamation marks.

We’re taking this as Camila asking the 20-year-old singer if he’s down to make another tune together and he’s happily accepting! They did write “IKWYDLS” backstage at one of their mutual friend Taylor Swift‘s concerts, so they easily could’ve written another hit the moment this pic of the pair was snapped. We’ll just have to wait and see, but it’s something everyone wants to happen again, that’s for sure. Also, here’s a pic of Camila, Shawn, and Camila’s mom just because it’s cute.

So let’s make that new song happen, please and thanks.
