Say what you want about Jenna Ortega’s love life, but she’s setting the record straight once and for all!
The Stuck In The Middle actress joined Bailee Madison and Kaitlin Vilasuso on their “Just Between Us” podcast on Tuesday, February 19, where she spilled the tea on pretty much everything — including her past relationships. When the sisters asked the Disney star what the craziest thing she’s read about herself online was, she explained that it was the dating rumors that have truly shocked her.
“Probably relationships,” she said. “According to the internet, I dated like six guys, [but I] dated none of them.”
Wow. We guess that settles that one. As J-14 readers know, the 16-year-old was linked to both Jacob Sartorius and Asher Angel in the past. Rumors first started circulating that Jenna and Asher were more than friends after they were spotted spending a lot of time together last year. The rumored couple was spotted on a date at Universal Horror Nights, attended a fashion show together and even walked the red carpet together. But when they wore coordinated Halloween costumes — they dressed up as former couple Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson — that’s when everyone really started shipping them. There were definitely a ton of clues that something was going on between them, but we guess they never dated after all!
As for Jacob, Jenna was spotted getting super cozy with the singer in New York City back in 2017. But it turns out, they were only acting! Jenna and Jacob appeared together in the music video for his song, “Chapstick.” In the vid, the two stars enjoyed an adorable date around the city where they played carnival games, ate ice cream and even walked across the Brooklyn Bridge together. Talk about romantic! But although it appeared that there was a ton of chemistry between them, they never became more than friends.
“We’re really good friends, and she’s really nice,” Jacob told J-14 at the time. “It was really fun to film the video. She’s really nice, so we had good chemistry on camera and off.”
