Congratulations, Amanda Bynes! The former Nickelodeon star announced that she was engaged on Saturday, February 15, and fans couldn’t be happier for her.
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news, the 33-year-old shared a photo of her gorgeous diamond ring.
“Engaged to tha love of my life,” she wrote.
She also posted a selfie with her new fiancé, which she captioned, “Lover.”
So who is Amanda gearing up to walk down the aisle with? Well, according to The Blast, her mystery man is a student from Los Angeles named Paul Michael. It’s also been reported that the couple met while they were both in rehab, and that they’ve only been together for a few months.
Amanda rose to fame back in 1996 when she starred in the hilarious sketch show called All That. She was so popular that she even landed her own spinoff series on Nickelodeon called The Amanda Show. After that ended, the actress went on to star in films such as What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, What I Like About You, Easy A, Hairspray and more! She also lent her voice to the cartoon Rugrats and the animated movie Robots, and get this — she even started her own fashion line in 2007, called Dear, which unfortunately got shut down one year later.
But after she announced she was taking an indefinite hiatus from acting in 2010, she went through a rough period. She dabbled with drugs and alcohol and was arrested twice. But in 2018, Amanda revealed that she she had been sober for four years with the help of her parents. She even received her Associate’s degree in Merchandise Product Development from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
