Congratulations are in order for Bridgit Mendler, who just revealed via Instagram that she’s engaged to be married to her boyfriend, Griffin Cleverly. How exciting is that?!
The Good Luck Charlie actress took to the photo app on April 21, 2019, to share a pic of the happy couple and to give fans the first look at her beautiful engagement ring.
“We thought we should share the news,” the 26-year-old wrote. “Griff you are a deep thinker, a steadfast companion, a cheerleader and a challenger, and the biggest goof I know. Looking forward to holding ur hand forever.” Aww!
While it’s unclear just how long she’s been dating her fiancé, he first appeared on her Instagram back in 2017, walking her into her surprise birthday party. In other words, the two have been dating for a while, despite keeping their relationship on the DL.
If you’ve been keeping up with the former Disney Channel star, you know that her engagement isn’t the only exciting thing she has going on at the moment. Back in January, the actress revealed on her Instagram Stories that she’s now a student at Harvard Law School, which is a huge deal if you ask us.
Along with a snapshot of her course materials packet, the “Ready or Not” singer wrote, “Bring it 2019!”
Well, now that she’s pursuing a law degree and is engaged, we definitely think 2019 is her year. Plus, her acting career is showing no signs of slowing down either! Why? Because she was also recently cast in a new Netflix series alongside another Disney Channel legend Ashley Tisdale!
Yup! The show will be a holiday-themed comedy called Merry Happy Whatever, and according to Deadline, she’ll play the “the independent-minded daughter home for the holidays and hoping her over-protective father will accept her musician boyfriend Matt, or at least not kill him.” We’re so excited!
Clearly, 2019 is shaping up to be a huge year for Bridgit, and we’re so glad she’s thriving both personally and professionally. Seriously, she’s crushing it!
