Hey Riverdale fans, get ready because Charles Melton just got cast in a brand new movie! Yep, according to The Wrap, the actor is set to star in a new flick called Swing, and J-14‘s got all the exciting deets.

So the movie follows “a group of friends and rowing teammates during their last year at an Ivy League college in 1999. When an army vet takes over as their coach, their entire lives are changed.” Michael Shannon and Alexander Ludwig are also acting in the upcoming film, which is based off of the real life experiences of writer Vojin Gjaja.

As fans know, everyone became obsessed with Charles after he appeared as Reggie Mantle in the CW series, but he’s also made appearances in Glee and American Horror Story. He also stole everyone’s hearts after he starred in the 2018 movie The Sun Is Also A Star alongside Yara Shahidi. Plus, he acted in Ariana Grande‘s “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” music video!

And this isn’t the only new movie that Charles’ has been working on recently. The 28-year-old cutie is also set to star in the flick Bad Boys For Life, the fourth installment to the Bad Boys movies, alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Joe Pantoliano, Paola Nuñez, Kate del Castillo and Alexander. It will hit screens on January 17, 2020 and will be about “a modern, highly specialized police unit that collides with the old school Bad Boys.”

As for Alexander, fans will most likely recognize him from his role as Cato in The Hunger Games. But he also starred in Vikings, Swerve, Blackway, Final Girl, When the Game Stands Tall, Lone Survivor, Grown Ups 2 and more.

There’s unfortunately no release date for Swing just yet, but with a cast and plot that epic, it’s bound to be an amazing movie!
