What Is ‘Five Feet Apart’ About?
As fans know, Five Feet Apart hit theaters back in March 2019, and it starred Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson. It was based off a book written by Mikki Daughtry and Rachael Lippincott, and it’s been reported that the authors are now working on a follow up called All This Time, which will also be turned into a movie. But here’s the catch — the next story won’t be about Stella and Will anymore, but instead, it will have a whole new set of characters!
For those who forgot, the first film was about two teens who were living with cystic fibrosis. Because of their condition, they were forced to stay six feet apart from others so that they didn’t catch any germs. But that didn’t stop them from falling in love! Get this — it was so emotional that it even made Cole’s brother, Dylan Sprouse, cry when he watched it!
“I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone in this photo,” the Riverdale star wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of the cast. “To make my brother and father cry in a room full of young women and business professionals is something I’ll smile about for the rest of my life.”
On ‘Five Feet Apart’ Sequel, ‘All This Time’
It was confirmed that the film’s sequel, All This Time, was in the works back in February 2020 by Deadline. Authors of Five Feet Apart were confirmed to adapt the screenplay and executive produce the upcoming flick. The book, which the film is based on, was released on October 6, 2020.
At the time, the plot was described as follows: “former high school quarterback Kyle, who is left grief-stricken by the tragic loss of his girlfriend Kimberly following a car crash. He eventually begins a cautious romance with an intriguing, creative girl, Marley, who enters his orbit. As strange events begin to unfold around him, Kyle comes to realize that his life with Marley might not be all that it seems.”
Is ‘All This Time’ Film Still Being Released?
Since the book’s release and the movie’s confirmation, no release date for the movie has been set. The last news regarding the film was in October 2021, when author Mikki Daughtry confirmed it was “in development.”
