On Monday, November 11, Disney Channel star Christopher Tavarez was arrested in Hollywood for felony domestic violence after an alleged physical altercation with his girlfriend.

According to reports, the 27-year-old was arguing with his girlfriend in a California home over the weekend before the fight allegedly became physical. The actor allegedly pushed his girlfriend causing her to hit her head. When the police were called to the scene, Christopher had fled.

The responding police officers reported that she had marks all over her body but refused to seek medical treatment. Sources close to the family later said that she had suffered a concussion because of the fall. Police finally arrested him two days later and he was booked for felony domestic violence, Christopher was released on $100,000 bail.

As fans know, he kicked off his career on Disney Channel with a starring role in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Avalon High. The actor also attended Duke University in 2011 to play Division 1 football before his return to acting in 2016. He is most known for his role as Darien in K.C. Undercover where he acted alongside Zendaya and played her character’s love interest for the series’ last two seasons.

Christopher isn’t the network’s only star with an arrest record. Back in 2011, Hannah Montana‘s Mitchel Musso was pulled over by the police and charged with driving under the influence as a minor. He pled no contest and was sentenced to 36 months informal probation, ordered to pay a fine and complete an alcohol education class. In 2018, two Disney Channel actors found themselves in trouble with the authorities. Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie found himself in police custody after attempting to go through security at LAX while carrying a loaded weapon. He pled no contest to possessing a weapon at the airport and was sentenced to two years probation, 20 days of community labor, and had to take a gun safety course, pay a fine. Lemonade Mouth star Adam Hicks was also arrested and charged for committing multiple armed robberies alongside his girlfriend at the time. He pled not guilty to three felony counts of attempted second-degree robbery and two felony counts of second-degree robbery.
