Everyone please take a moment to try to imagine how iconic it would be if Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande recorded a song together. They’re two of the most talented singers and songwriters in the world, so that would seriously be a dream come true! Well, get ready, people, because the two secretly teamed up for a collaboration, and fans are freaking out over it. Wow, talk about an epic duo.

OK, so the track, which is seemingly called “No Love For the Lonely,” actually leaked last month. But when an Australian radio station tweeted that the song was officially being released on October 23, the internet went wild! Unfortunately, Ed’s manager, Stuart Camp, put those rumors to rest.

“It’s most definitely not,” he replied to a fan, who had tweeted that the song was coming out soon.

“And this is a terrible mix of it too… just dreadful,” he added, addressing the version that had leaked.

The song even apparently popped up on Spotify briefly, but it has since been taken down. Ugh, seriously, knowing that this song exists and not being able to hear it is torture! Can these two drop it already, please and thanks!

“Another night, another club / Another room, another one / When morning comes, I’m running off,” the lyrics allegedly read. “Summer nights, and no love for the lonely / Don’t come near me, ’cause I’ll only break your heart / And I will try to find someone to hold me / My love is a flickering candle, in the dark.”

As fans know, Ariana wouldn’t be the first star that Ed’s worked with recently. The 28-year-old “Thinking Out Loud” crooner dropped an album full of songs that featured some of the world’s biggest artists back in July, called No.6 Collaborations Project. It had tracks with Khalid, Camila Cabello, Justin Bieber, Eminem, 50 Cent, Travis Scott, Bruno Mars and more.

Whenever the two stars do decide to drop the song, it will definitely be on repeat!
