You might want to brace yourselves, you guys, because there’s a new Ed Sheeran song coming this Friday! That’s right, just weeks after he dropped his new bop, “I Don’t Care,” with Justin Bieber, the singer announced that he’s got another new tune up his sleeve and we are only days away! SCREAMING.
And get this — the song, called “Cross Me,” will have two collaborators on it! Ed shared the exciting news via his Instagram account on Monday, May 20, and OMG, we cannot wait to hear it.
But the internet pretty much lost it when the 28-year-old blocked out the name of the two collaborators in his post. Ugh, Ed, why do you do this to us? Naturally, everyone quickly tried to figure out who may be featured on the song, and a ton of theories started circulating the web.
But when the ginger cutie posted a selfie to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 21 counting down the days until the release, fans were quick to notice that there were a few major clues in the post!
At first glance, it may seem that Ed is wearing a hat with the number three on it because there’s three more days until the song comes out, right? But fans of Chance the Rapper know that the cap is part of his merch line! OMG. Does this mean he’s one of the collaborators? Fans certainly think so!
And that’s not all. Ed also wrote the letter “P” plus a bee symbol and the emoji for rock and roll on the mysterious post. What does that mean, you ask? Well, there’s actually an up and coming hip hop singer called PnB Rock! Coincidence? We think not.
Some fans have also pointed out that both of their names fit in Ed’s post. So although we can’t say for sure, it definitely seems like a possibility we’re about to get an Ed Sheeran x Chance the Rapper x PnB Rock song.

Wow, we are so here for this! Of course, there are a ton of other theories that fans have come up with as well. Some are convinced they actually see the name Taylor Swift written on the second line of his post.
Another #Sweeran song? Now that would be a dream come true. While others, are sure the new song will feature 5 Seconds of Summer and Charlie Puth! Why? Well, there’s been rumors that the two artists are releasing a new song together, and when the official 5SOS Instagram account posted a pic of the guys with a similar cross through their faces, it seemed pretty suspicious.
Ugh, can it be Friday already? The suspense is killing us!
