Fans have decided to boycott Ariana Grande‘s new song “7 Rings,” and the singer is surprisingly OK with it. As fans of the songstress know, the tune has received a ton of criticism recently, after multiple other artists accused the “God Is A Woman” singer of copyright infringement. But that’s not why her fans have decided to stop listening to the bop. It turns out, they’re boycotting “7 Rings” because they want her new single, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” to take the number one spot on the music charts instead!

“7 Rings” currently holds the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, so if “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” were to earn the spot this week, it would have to beat out the singer’s other single. That’s why fans are encouraging people to stop listening to it.

They even started a hashtag on Twitter — #BOYCOTT7RINGS — which got millions of tweets and quickly caught the attention of the 25-year-old.

“Are you OK?” she tweeted a fan after noticing the hashtag.

“You’re all sick,” she added once she caught wind of what fans were doing.

“Shut up, we’re aiming for that third number one,” one supporter replied, which Ariana retweeted, adding a simple “K.”

“Ya’ll are so insane and funny and I love you,” she wrote. “Whatever’s meant to be will be, babies. I ain’t goin’ nowhere.”

As J-14 readers know, “7 Rings” is all about female empowerment and not needing a man to be happy. In the epic song, the former Victorious star sings about fixing her broken heart by shopping with her friends, and lists off a ton of her favorite things. “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” on the other hand, is all about crushing so hard on a guy when he’s unfortunately dating someone else.

Honestly, you guys, both songs are so good that we’ll be happy with either of them taking the number one spot.
