Try not to freak out, you guys, but fans are totally convinced Ariana Grande and Harry Styles are collaborating on new music. Wait, what?

You heard that correctly, folks! As we all know, diehard fans of the two pop stars don’t miss a beat when it comes to their faves, and when the 24-year-old One Direction member followed the 25-year-old “Thank U, Next” crooner on Instagram on January 19, it was all the confirmation they needed that ~something~ is in the works.

Of course, it’s very possible that the “Sign of the Times” singer suddenly realized he wasn’t following Ari and then decided to do so, but according to some very detail-oriented fans, there’s more to it than just that. Why? Well, for starters, he hasn’t been active on Instagram since — wait for it — July 2018.

Okay, so we have to admit that it’s a little odd that he hasn’t been active on the social media platform since the summer, but returned to throw the “7 Rings” singer a like. Still, it’s not enough to prove that the two are going to collaborate, so luckily, fans found more possible proof.

Remember Harry’s November 2018 i-D interview with Timothée Chalamet? We thought so! What you may not recall, however, is that before fans even knew the interview was happening in the first place, the “Kiwi” crooner followed the 23-year-old Call Me By Your Name actor on Instagram. Hmm…

Obviously, we can’t help but wonder: If they do collaborate, what exactly do they have planned? And honestly, there are a few possibilities. For instance, they can start from scratch and work on an entirely new song, or as some fans pointed out, they could release a duet of “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart,” which is the song Harry wrote for Ariana back in 2014.

As you can see, there are loads of possibilities regarding what this follow could actually mean, but remember, it’s also very possible that the follow is just that — a follow. We guess we’ll just have to wait to find out!
