It wasn’t all that long ago that Ariana Grande dropped the “Thank U, Next” music video, and in it we saw some of our absolute favorite stars. From Colleen Ballinger and Gabi DeMartino to Troye Sivan and Kris Jenner, the music video was packed tight with celebrities. It even featured some familiar faces from the original Mean Girls movie.

With original Mean Girls cast members Jonathan Bennett and Stefanie Drummond in the vid, we couldn’t help but wonder why some of the other stars from the hilarious flick weren’t included. Did they not want to be a part of it? Did the “God is a Woman” singer forget to ask?

Noticeably missing from Ari’s music video was obviously Lindsay Lohan, who was replaced by Liz Gillies, and if you were wondering why she didn’t participate, the star just revealed on Sirius XM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show that she wasn’t asked. Plain and simple!

When asked why she thought we wasn’t tapped to reprise her role of Cady Heron in the music video, the Freaky Friday actress said, “They probably couldn’t get in touch with me, I guess. I don’t know. It’s not that easy just to fly in from Dubai.” Well, she definitely has a point!

For those of you who don’t follow Lindsay on social media, she spent several months in Dubai last year, so even if she was asked to be in the music video, it wouldn’t have been easy for her to get home and film.

Luckily, despite not being asked to appear in one of the best music videos of 2018, there’s no bad blood between the two — or, at least we don’t think so. In fact, the 32-year-old loves Ari and was also a big fan of the “Thank U, Next” vid.

“No, I loved the video. I like her a lot. It was all really cute,” she said.

Clearly, the two are big fans of one another. We mean, let’s be real… if the “No Tears Left to Cry” crooner wasn’t such a huge LiLo fan, the music video probably would’ve turned out a lot different, don’t you think?
