Looks like Justin Bieber almost made Gabi DeMartino one less lonely girl back in the day. The social media star took to YouTube to share the story, and it’s got us thinking about the possibilities of what life would be like if they actually dated back then!
“The reason I’ve never brought it up in a vlog before or anything is because I don’t want to look like one of those attention-seeking girls, like trying to accuse celebrities of things. I’m just going to quickly summarize the story. Justin Bieber asked me out once in 2014,” the 21-year-old YouTuber spilled in a recent video. “Every time I see something about him, I just picture this thing that happened in 2014. I swear to God, I’m not making this up. I mean, it’s not that big of a deal.”
The encounter went down at New York Fashion Week at a Mercedes-Benz fashion show, where Justin sparked a conversation with Gabi backstage. However, Gabi was at the event with her then-boyfriend, Brandon Grupe. So she had to decline.
“When I went up to him he was asking me all these questions like, ‘What’s your name? Where are you from?’ He told me I was beautiful and then asked me what I was doing after the fashion show,” Gabi spilled about the 24-year-old “Love Yourself” singer. “He asked me if I wanted to go to the after party with him and I said sorry and that I couldn’t. And then, it kind of ended there, and then we took a picture together.”
“I could be in Hailey [Baldwin]’s place right now, like come on!” the star jokingly said. “He actually ended up being a real jerk, my ex-boyfriend.”
However, Gabi’s happy with the way things turned out.
“I love Collin – and Justin’s so happy with Hailey right now!”
While things never flourished between Gabi and Biebz, the YouTuber has been in a relationship with 21-year-old social media personality, Collin Vogt, since July of 2015. So yeah, safe to say it wasn’t meant to be!
