It’s time to whip out the cowboy hats and start blasting “You’ve Got a Friend In Me,” as the Toy Story gang is back. Yes, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and all your favorite characters you grew up watching and you know, totally made you believe that once you left the room your toys came to life too, are back in action. Toy Story 4 is hitting theaters June 21, 2019, but Disney has decided to graciously give us a little preview of what’s to come. And although a lot of time has passed since the last Toy Story movie, nothing’s really changed for this crew.
In the 90-second teaser trailer, we see all of the OG characters, including Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm, and Slinky, holding hands, happy to be together. But there’s a new face, Forky, who, well, really wants everyone to know that he’s not a toy. He lets go of his new friends’ hands, which naturally creates a mess.
OKAY FORKY. As we know, the toys we’ve come to love no longer belong to Andy, as he’s grown up and is busy being an adult now, but instead are now owned by Bonnie. It looks like Forky isn’t happy to be a part of her toy collection though. LOL! Check out the teaser trailer for yourself:
So what can you expect to see in Toy Story 4? More crazy adventures filled with plenty of chaos and cuteness, of course.
“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called ‘Forky’ to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy,” Disney/Pixar said in a statement. Considering that Toy Story 3 came out in 2010, it’s been nearly a decade since we last saw these toys together but frankly, they’ve been missed.
