YouTuber Gabi DeMartino is taking her hate comments seriously. The 24-year-old internet star recently underwent a $2,000 makeover as a result of backlash she received online about her looks.

“Today, I am gathering every hate comment I have seen about my appearance and giving myself a makeover,” she told fans in a vlog uploaded on Tuesday, March 3, before flashing a disclaimer on screen that let viewers know that all the “modifications” she made were things she had “wanted to change” about herself.

Throughout the 11-minute video, Gabi took viewers along as she addressed the negative feedback and got her eyebrows, lips and hair done. Before each appointment, she flashed a nasty comment on the screen and then explained what the “modification” would be. She also shared the price of each procedure with fans.

First, Gabi got her eyebrows microshaded — which cost $375 — after some people asked, “What happened to your brows?”

“Guys, these look better than what I drew on earlier,” she said after the technician had finished. “Look, they don’t come off.”

Next, Gabi said that some viewers have criticized her lips and called them “botched.” So, the social media star decided to fix her lip injections.

“I used to float around for lips,” she explained. “But other people’s work on top of other people’s work, just doesn’t work out so I got my lips fixed. I also got botox in my forehead.”

Both the lip injections and botox cost Gabi around $1,300.

For the last part of her makeover, Gabi focused on her hair. Commenters often said she looked “better blonde,” so she went to her hairstylist for a lighter color and more extensions. Once her hair had been dyed and her blow out was complete, Gabi gave fans a look at the final results from her makeover.

“This was so fun for me because these were things I wanted to fix. This video wasn’t meant to please the haters,” she said before concluding the vlog. “This video was a fun little poke at them because the comments they left clearly bothered me for a reason…Sometimes you really believe what someone [says]…It’s really triggering when someone points out something that you also see.”
