Here’s what you missed on Glee! Jenna Ushkowitz recently reunited with former costars Heather Morris, Becca Tobin and Kevin McHale on Sunday, September 13, to celebrate her engagement to longtime love David Stanley.
“I’m so lucky,” the actress, 34, captioned a snap from the party on Instagram.
Before sharing more photos from the bash — hosted by The Picnic Collective — on Instagram Stories, Jenna ensured fans that “we all got tested” for coronavirus prior to the gathering.
Jenna and David, 37, first announced their engagement via Instagram on August 2.
“Yes, a million times, yes,” she captioned a selfie, which showed off her engagement ring. David shared the same photo — which also featured a special appearance from the couple’s dog, Bear — to his own account, alongside the caption, “Yes.”
The couple’s famous friends and Jenna’s former costars congratulated the pair in the comment section of their posts. Demi Lovato, who guest-starred on Glee in 2014 and recently celebrated her own engagement to Max Ehrich, shared her excitement with multiple comments. The songstress even suggested that Jenna and David go on a double date with her and Max!
“Double soon-to-be-married-engaged-couples date soon ASAP,” Demi, 28, wrote. “I’m so happy for you. OMG Jenna!”
“Love you! So happy! Yes, double date, please,” Jenna responded. Then added, “@ddlovato I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU.”
Both Harry Shum Jr. and Alex Newell sent their congratulations alongside a series of emojis.
Jenna and David’s engagement came about a month after they celebrated their two-year anniversary together. The couple has been together since June 2018.
“Two years of getting to know you, traveling, laughing. Two years of growth, learning about each other, ourselves, our love and two years of creating our little family. Can’t wait for all the days, months, years to come,” the Tony Award winner wrote on Instagram on June 19. “Happy anniversary, mi amor.”
