There’s no need to freak out Halsey fans, because she’s setting the record straight. On Monday, November 18, pregnancy rumors started swirling after the 25-year-old was spotted out cradling her stomach after a lunch date with boyfriend, Evan Peters. Fans quickly speculated that the pair was expecting because the “Without Me” singer and American Horror Story star both had their hands resting on her lower belly.
Once Halsey caught wind of the rumors, she took to Twitter and shut them down once and for all.
“Still not pregnant,” she wrote. “Still just allergic to gluten. Still love pancakes.”
The singer explained the images as a result of eating pancakes despite having a gluten allergy.
“Is it a boy? It it a girl? It’s pancakes,” she joked in a follow up tweet.
For those who missed it, Halsey and Evan romance rumors first made headlines back in September after Us Weekly reported the two were cozying up during a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in Los Angeles, California. Since then, the pair made their relationship Instagram official after they celebrated Halloween together in two separate matching costumes.
On October 30, Halsey publicly addressed the rumors during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
“I don’t know what’s scarier though, she said after being scared by the host. “Having to talk about my boyfriend on TV or having that happen? It was a double whammy.”
As die-hard fans of the singer know, this relationship was a long time coming. Back in 2012, Halsey tweeted about having a major crush on the actor when watching American Horror Story.
“Seriously Evan Peters stop making me attracted to alleged sociopaths and accused murderers…” she wrote.
That wasn’t the only time she had fangirled over Evan.
“Petition for Evan Peters to date me,” she also tweeted in November 2013.
