Get ready, witches and wizards, because the story of Harry Potter isn’t over just yet! Yeah, you might want to prepare yourselves because J.K. Rowling just announced that she’s releasing four new books this year, and we’ve got all the deets. SCREAMING.

So get this — the new books are actually going to be non-fiction! Um, what? We know what you’re thinking — how is that possible since, you know, the stories are all made up and there’s no such thing as magic? Well muggles, let us explain. The books are designed to teach readers all about about the origins of magic through history and folklore. Wow, how cool does that sound?

And it gets even better! The books are actually designed to look like Hogwarts textbooks, and each one is going to be framed around a different Hogwarts class that Harry, Ron or Hermione took. In other words, you’re about to feel like a legit Hogwarts student! OK, we need to read these, like, now.

The books are called Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defense Against the Dark ArtsHarry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and HerbologyHarry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures. The first two will be out on June 27, while the others don’t have a release date just yet. But according to Pottermore, they “will follow soon after.” The books will only be available online, and you can pre-order them now!

In case you missed it, last year marked the 20th anniversary of the release of the first book in the series, and we cannot believe how fast time has flown by. We mean, it feels like just yesterday that we were all lining up at the book store to get our hands on it, doesn’t it? Well, we cannot wait to read the new books.
