Musical duo Jack & Jack are gearing up to start their A Friend Is Nice Tour on February 21, and we couldn’t be more excited. But what is tour life like for Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky? What do they like to do on the bus? What are some things that they have to bring with them? Lucky for you guys, we talked to the boys exclusively, and they spilled all their epic tour secrets.

When they’re not slaying the stage, it turns out, you’ll probably find the boys playing video games!

“It gets pretty heated when we’re playing FIFA matches with our band,” Johnson explained. “We gotta have our gaming console on the bus.”

And get this — the two best friends that met in kindergarten are planning on turning their tour bus into a studio!

“We’re gonna be bringing the studio this tour,” he continued. “A little home-make-shift studio so we can keep working while we’re on the road. It’s gonna be great.”

As J-14 readers know, the musical duo just released their new album, A Friend Is Nice, on January 25, and we cannot stop listening to it. So the fact that they’re already planning to work hard on the next one is amazing. As for some tour necessities, Johnson explained that tea and any other things to keep their throat and voices healthy are important to him. As for Gilinsky, he can’t go on the road without his blanket.

“I bring very soft bedding. It sounds weird but I love to be extremely comfortable on the bus,” he told us. “So I have like a million blankets on my bunk, and cool lights and stuff, just cause it’s like a home for a month so we try to make it as cozy as possible.”

Aw! The tour kicks off in Amsterdam next week and concludes in Omaha on May 5. You can see a full list of the tour dates here.
