She’s back and better than ever! That’s right, on Monday, August 24, Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney made a rare appearance in New York City.
According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the couple both wore face masks while The Hunger Games star sported a flower-print slip dress and her husband looked casual in khaki pants and a t-shirt. They both looked super comfy walking around the city in sneakers.
The publication also reported that this was the first time Jennifer and Cooke were spotted in six months, since the coronavirus quarantine started. The last time the newlyweds were seen out together was in February 2020, just before the city went into lockdown, according to People Magazine.
As fans know, Jennifer and Cooke officially tied the knot October 2019! They were first romantically linked in June 2018, after they were introduced by a mutual friend and were subsequently spotted out numerous times together. After engagement speculation hit the web, a rep for the actress confirmed to Us Weekly that the gallery owner had proposed in February 2019. The publication reported months later that the pair had hosted an engagement party in May 2019, just before she officially walked down the aisle.
“[They] definitely appear to be in it for the long haul,” a source close to the actress told Us Weekly at the time.
Then, on October 19, 2019, the magazine confirmed that the two said their vows during an intimate ceremony in Rhode Island. A source told Us that Jennifer had plans to make the “wedding to be simple and sophisticated” and it was not going to “be an over-the-top celebration.”
Many of Jennifer’s celeb friends, including Kris Jenner, Adele, Emma Stone, Ashley Olsen and more made an appearance at the star-studded event.
Although she has kept details of her romantic life under wraps, in June 2018, Jennifer told Entertainment Tonight that getting engaged “was a very, very easy decision.”
She then added, “He’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life,”
