This may be hard to believe, but Monday, June 1 is Willow Shield‘s 20th birthday! The actress was 12 years old when she starred in The Hunger Games, which means it’s been more than seven years since the movie premiered! Wow, it’s seriously shocking how fast time flies by, isn’t it?
The flick first hit theaters on March 23, 2012, and it quickly became a fan favorite. Besides Willow, it also starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Alexander Ludwig and more, and it was all about a girl named Katniss Everdeen who was forced to fight for her life in a nationally televised event called the Hunger Games. Each district had to select one person to compete, but when Katniss’ younger sister, Primrose, got chosen, she volunteered herself instead. The competitors were forced to fight against each other since only one could win the competition and survive, but when Katniss fell for another boy in the competition named Peeta Mellark, things got a little complicated.
In honor of Willow’s birthday, J-14 decided to take a little trip down memory lane and check-in with her and the rest of the cast of The Hungers Games to see what they’re all up to today — and fans are not going to believe how different they all look! While some are still acting, others have taken a break from the spotlight to focus on their family — but either way, they all have definitely accomplished a lot over the years.
